In an objective to consolidate the apiculture industry in the province of Ayopaya, Agroinnovaciones Boliva has performed a baseline study in three months mainly focusing on social, productive and environmental aspects.

Social aspects:

  • Provide an adequate understanding of the social and organizational context before developing a successful intervention strategy
  • Provide information to indentify and define the scope and geographic extent of the project’s social impacts

Productive aspects:

  • Provide an adequate understanding of the productive context, shedding light on the existing technical and human resources
  • Identify the technical needs of each rural organization for the development of a capacity building plan, which will serve to improve the productive yields of beekeeping operations in the area

Environmental aspects:

  • Provide an understanding of the relations and perceptions of the social group in regards to surrounding forests and their importance
  • Provide information on acceptable environmental activities.
